As soon as they are born, some babies can have health problems that, if discovered in time, prevent suffering for everyone.
Still, in the maternity department, the mother should ask for help if the baby shows any of these signs:
- refuses to feed;
- does not poop (bowel movements);
- anus hole closed;
- low body temperature;
- does not pee;
- fever;
- excessive saliva;
- purple, lips, feet, and hands;
- difficulty breathing;
- stuffed belly;
- very yellowish skin color (jaundice);
- gets too relaxed.
